Overview

Tea Garden Permas Jaya stands out as a quaint halal restaurant nestled in the heart of Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, Johor. This humble eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for casual dining, whether you're stopping by for breakfast, tea time, or dinner. The space strikes a balance between cozy and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or a relaxed meal with friends.

At the core of Tea Garden’s appeal lies its authentic and thoughtfully prepared menu. Their Hainanese Milk Tea is a signature drink that perfectly complements the rich flavors of the local Malaysian dishes they serve. Staples like Nasi Lemak with fried chicken, Kwetiau Goreng, and curry laksa mee showcase an exquisite blend of traditional tastes with a homely touch, evoking a sense of nostalgia and comfort. The herbal chicken rice and their unique rojak offerings further highlight the kitchen’s versatility, catering to diners seeking both familiar favorites and something a little different.

The soya series deserves particular mention for its refreshing take on classic beverages. Homemade soya milk, often paired with gula melaka or cincau, delivers a smooth and subtly sweet experience that recalls traditional recipes passed down through generations. It’s no surprise that regulars, like Emy Ameeya, cherish these drinks for their authenticity and reminder of grandma’s cooking.

Customer experiences consistently emphasize the quality and warmth of service. From attentive staff to neat packaging and prompt delivery, Tea Garden upholds a standard that resonates well beyond the plate. Stories of honesty and genuine care, like those shared by Dyna Nora, reinforce the restaurant's commitment to creating lasting relationships with its patrons. Whether it’s the friendly greetings or the personal touches, the human element shines through.

The restaurant’s halal certification adds confidence and inclusivity for a broad community of diners. It invites everyone to enjoy Malaysian cuisine brewed with tradition and heart. Tea Garden’s selection suits a variety of palates—from early risers craving a hearty breakfast to casual visitors seeking an engaging tea break or a fulfilling dinner.

In summary, Tea Garden Permas Jaya is more than a place to eat; it is a culinary refuge where quality, comfort, and cultural richness blend seamlessly. It respects tradition without feeling dated, inviting guests to savor the heartfelt flavors of Malaysian home cooking in a friendly and relaxed setting.

I often order breakfast from this place via Grab, and I truly love their food. The packaging is always neat, and the food is consistently delivered hot. Today, they accidentally included an extra pack of food in my order. I went to the outlet to pay for it, but the staff kindly informed me that it had already been settled by them. I felt bad for the staff member, but I really appreciated the honesty and professionalism shown. I will always recommend this place for both the food and the wonderful service.

I recently visited Tea Garden and had a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. The food was satisfying and well-portioned. Their local dishes have a nice homely taste, and the drinks selection is quite wide — especially their tea-based beverages, which are refreshing and nicely balanced in flavor. Service was fairly quick, and the staff were polite and attentive. Overall, Tea Garden is a good place for casual dining, whether for breakfast, tea time, or dinner.

Food is good drink is nice, atmosphere a bit loud but cant really do anything about it. However, we ordered the cocoa bread one but the server said one of them gave it to the wrong table and the bread finished already. This is really disappointing as our grandma love the bread and we came a long way here. The server with hijab and mask with apron was really polite but we really hoped we could get extra breads as a sorry. Cant ask for much because the restaurant is busy always especially in the morning, maybe you can tambah your staff.

Dear manager in charge, Im visiting yr restaurant on 20/12/2025, 8:30pm. The food quality overall is hot & tasty. Unfortunately, service time quite bad. We ordered Herbal Chicken with rice, waiting quite long around 20mins plus. My kid need to wait for the food. Kindly inform us if the food need to wait longer than usual. So I no need to go and ask to yr kitchen crew for the order instead. Table server staff no greeting at all. When she served the food on the table, no simple greeting at all. With her mask not fully covered. As fnb industry alignment, all employee touching food need to wear mask properly. Other customer (behind me) smoking within yr outside dining table area. Despite the black color shirt (manager) doing frequent travel path, but he did not take any action of the smoker. Imagine there is a few customers bringing kids to yr restaurant, air polluted by the smokes too.

Love the food here! We tried the olive fried rice, fish porridge, butter kaya toast, cendol, jelly dessert & herbal chicken and rice All the dishes were so tasty and flavourful The gula melaka in the cendol was very fragrant and sweetness can be adjusted based up to you (served separately). The service staffs were very friendly and helpful too, 5 stars! ⭐
